This statement represents so much more than just another quote or tagline on my brochure. It is the vision statement for my coaching practice, and a reflection of my life’s journey. A journey that has moved me from humble beginnings to success in areas that I never dreamed were possible.
Moreover, my journey has enabled me to work with hundreds of entrepreneurs, small business owners and business leaders to help them achieve their goals in creative and expansive ways. But the journey has not been easy. In fact, as a child I was told by the people I looked to for guidance, encouragement and support that I was lazy and would never amount to anything.
We didn’t have a lot of material things when I was growing up, but my parents did their best to provide for our extended family. Both my parents were from broken homes and suffered through life during the Great Depression, World War II, and endured numerous hardships and disappointments. Their lives were oppressive, extremely harsh and as a consequence, they had their dreams managed out of them long before I came along.
Unlike my parents I was a BIG DREAMER and knew from an early age that I wanted a different, better life than they had. However, during those formative years I was a classic under-achiever, painfully shy, introverted and lacking in self-confidence. Why? Because I bought into what others said about me. But these self-imposed limitations did not deter me from pursuing my hopes and dreams for a better life.

Watching my parent’s struggles taught me the value of hard work at an early age. So, in order to pursue one of my big dreams — a college education, I got my first “real job” in high school to pay for it. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college and I did it without financial aid or support from my parents. A few years later, I completed my MBA degree with honors while working full-time.
After college my life really began to change for the better with the help of my first mentor and through the love and support of my wife, Laura. I learned so much from both of them. And I will be eternally grateful for the numerous ways they, and others, have changed my life and helped me become the person I was meant to be – personally, professionally and spiritually.
I lost the love of my life to metastatic breast cancer in March 2016. However, Laura will always be a 
guiding light in my life that propels me forward. Laura’s untimely death has taught me to not take anything for granted, and to live in the moment because nothing is guaranteed.
Besides her unconditional love and a wonderful loving family, Laura also gave me another extraordinary gift. It was through her example I learned the true meaning of “paying it forward” and serving others. Seeing how she cared for others, putting their needs above her own, touched me so much that it became my ‘WHY’ when I launched my coaching practice in 2009.
Today, I work with a diverse group of entrepreneurs, small business owners and business leaders, from start-up to exit planning, to help them to dramatically improve the growth, profitability and performance of their businesses. It is my passion to help others achieve more than they ever dreamed possible!
